    • Hardness: HRC 36–42, balancing machinability and toughness, suitable for mechanical components
    • Surface treatments: zinc plating, nickel plating, black oxide (application-dependent)

  • 1144 / 1214 (Free-Cutting Carbon Steel)
    • Designed for applications that prioritize machinability; not heat treated
    • Surface treatments: zinc plating, nickel plating, black oxide all available
